Leighton House can help residents with both complex and challenging behavioural needs. We will assess each resident individually on a case by case basis and put in specific measures to control challenging behaviour.

When working with residents with difficult behaviour, our staff are trained from the ground up for approaching residents displaying difficult behaviour.

We care for residents with the following:

  • Aggressive behaviour

  • Walking about

  • Verbal aggression

  • Physical aggression

  • Self Neglect

  • Absconding

  • Delusion

  • 1:1 Care

  • 2:1 Care

For residents who are at high risk of falls, wandering and displaying physical aggression, we are able to provide 1 to 1 support and allocate a trained Health Care Assistant to monitor and assist the resident 12 to 24 hours a day.
